About Hub WP Theme

Hub is a multi-purpose WordPress theme built by LiquidThemes. It runs on the Slider Revolution and WPBakery Page Builder stack, giving you a large library of pre-built demo sites you can import with one click. The theme ships with over 40 ready-made websites covering agencies, portfolios, SaaS, and e-commerce layouts.

Under the hood, Hub uses a custom header builder, an advanced mega menu system, and a built-in sticky header with scroll effects. It supports WooCommerce out of the box and includes LiquidThemes’ own LD Core plugin, which powers most of the theme-specific widgets and shortcodes.

Performance depends heavily on how many demo assets you carry over, so selective importing matters. Hub scores well for design flexibility but requires familiarity with WPBakery to get the most out of it without touching code.

Who is Hub for?

Creative Agencies

Hub includes agency-specific demo sites with case study layouts, animated service sections, and team pages. A Hub specialist can tailor these to match your branding without rebuilding from scratch. The mega menu handles complex service navigation cleanly, which matters for agencies with large service catalogs.

SaaS and Tech Startups

Several Hub demos are built specifically for SaaS products, with pricing tables, feature grids, and app screenshot sections. The theme handles scroll animations well for product storytelling. A Hub developer can wire up integrations with tools like ActiveCampaign or HubSpot to support lead capture goals.

WooCommerce Stores

Hub’s WooCommerce support goes beyond basic styling. You get custom single product layouts, off-canvas cart, and category page controls. A Hub expert can configure these alongside WooCommerce extensions to build a store that performs and converts without relying on a separate page builder plugin for shop pages.

Freelance Portfolios

Hub’s portfolio post type and filterable grid layouts work well for designers, photographers, and developers showcasing their work. The lightbox and case study page templates are included. A Hub specialist can set up custom taxonomies and filtering logic to handle large portfolios cleanly.

Corporate and Business Sites

Corporate sites need consistency across dozens of pages. Hub’s global sections and reusable WPBakery templates make that manageable. The theme handles multi-level navigation, staff directories, and news/blog sections without plugins. A Hub developer ensures the structure scales as the site grows.

Customizing Hub

Hub gives you a lot of control through the WordPress Customizer and WPBakery’s frontend editor. You can adjust typography, color schemes, header layouts, and footer styles without writing a single line of CSS. The custom header builder alone supports multiple rows, sticky behavior, transparency effects, and mobile breakpoints independently.

That said, the sheer number of options can be overwhelming. A Hub expert can strip the setup down to exactly what your project needs, configure reusable global sections, and make sure your child theme is set up correctly before any customization begins.

If you need custom post types, advanced WooCommerce layouts, or pixel-perfect results that go beyond what the visual editor offers, working with a Hub specialist saves significant time and avoids breaking changes down the line.

Recommended plugins for Hub

Hub integrates with most major WordPress plugins without conflicts. For forms, it pairs well with Gravity Forms and WPForms. WooCommerce support is solid and covers variable products, cart fragments, and checkout styling.

Where Hub needs attention is speed. Loading all the bundled scripts by default slows things down. A proper asset loading strategy, combined with a good caching setup, can bring scores up significantly. See our WordPress performance optimization service for details.

On the SEO side, Hub works cleanly with Yoast and Rank Math, but structured data and schema markup usually need manual attention. Our WordPress SEO service covers that end to end.

Hub common issues

Hub theme demo import fails or gets stuck

Demo import failures in Hub are usually caused by server memory limits or execution time settings. Increase max_execution_time to at least 300 and memory_limit to 256M in your php.ini or wp-config.php. Also check that the required plugins (LD Core, WPBakery, Slider Revolution) are all activated before importing. If it still fails, try importing content only, then widgets, then settings separately.

Hub WPBakery elements not showing in backend editor

If WPBakery elements are missing, the LD Core plugin is likely inactive or outdated. Go to Plugins and confirm LD Core is enabled. If it is, deactivate it, clear your browser cache, then reactivate it. A version mismatch between Hub and LD Core after an update is the most common cause. Check LiquidThemes’ changelog to confirm compatible versions before updating either one.

Hub header overlapping page content after update

Header overlap usually means the page-level top padding isn’t accounting for the header height. Open the page in WPBakery and check the first row’s top padding. Alternatively, in the Hub Header settings for that page, make sure the transparent header option is correctly paired with a padding offset. If the issue appeared after an update, check our WordPress bug fixing service for a fast resolution.

Hub Slider Revolution not displaying correctly on mobile

Slider Revolution mobile issues in Hub are often caused by wrong slide dimensions or overflow settings. Open the slider in the Slider Revolution editor, go to Slide Options, and set a mobile-specific size. Also check that the slider container in WPBakery has no fixed height set. If the slider is inside a full-width row, confirm the row padding isn’t clipping the slider on small screens.

Hub WooCommerce cart not updating without page reload

Hub’s WooCommerce AJAX cart depends on the cart fragments script. If it’s dequeued by a performance plugin, the cart won’t update live. Check your caching or optimization plugin and whitelist woocommerce_cart_fragments. Also confirm your theme’s cart icon is using the correct WooCommerce cart widget rather than a static shortcode. If you’re using a CDN, exclude the cart page from caching entirely.

Hub mega menu dropdown not working on touch devices

Touch device mega menu issues are a known Hub quirk. The theme uses hover-based dropdowns by default. Add a small JavaScript snippet that converts hover to click on touch devices, or use a menu plugin that handles this natively. Alternatively, enable the Hub mobile menu breakpoint at a wider pixel value so touch tablet users see the mobile menu instead of the desktop version.

Hub LD Core plugin conflict causing white screen

A white screen after activating LD Core usually points to a PHP version mismatch or a conflict with another plugin. Switch to PHP 8.0 or 8.1 if you’re running an older version. Deactivate all other plugins, then reactivate LD Core alone to confirm it loads. Re-enable plugins one at a time to identify the conflict. For persistent issues, our WordPress bug fixing service can resolve it quickly.

Hub sticky header flickering on scroll

Sticky header flickering in Hub is typically a CSS transition conflict. Open your browser’s dev tools and check for competing position: fixed rules from a third-party plugin. Also check if a lazy-load plugin is deferring Hub’s main stylesheet, which causes a flash before styles apply. Disabling lazy load for the theme’s CSS file usually fixes it immediately.

Hub page speed score low despite caching plugin

Hub loads a large number of scripts by default, including Slider Revolution on every page even when not used. Use a plugin like Asset CleanUp to conditionally load scripts only where needed. Minify and combine CSS where possible, and serve fonts locally rather than from Google Fonts. For a full audit, see our WordPress performance optimization service.

Hub custom fonts not loading after Customizer save

Custom fonts not loading after saving in the Customizer is usually a caching issue at either the server or CDN level. Purge all caches after saving font settings. If you’re using a CSS optimization plugin, check that it isn’t combining the font-face declarations incorrectly. Also confirm the font files are actually present in the upload or theme directory by checking the URL in your browser directly.

Hub FAQ

Hub is built around WPBakery, not Gutenberg. You can write standard posts in the block editor, but all page layouts are created in WPBakery’s frontend or backend editor. Gutenberg blocks won’t appear inside WPBakery rows, and there’s no official Gutenberg integration from LiquidThemes. If you want a Gutenberg-first setup, Hub isn’t the right fit.

Hub is not designed for Elementor. The theme’s layouts and custom elements rely on WPBakery and the LD Core plugin. You can technically install Elementor alongside WPBakery, but you’ll have two page builders competing, which creates conflicts and bloat. A Hub developer would not recommend mixing them.

Always use a child theme for any CSS or template changes. Before updating, back up your site and note which version of LD Core, WPBakery, and Slider Revolution you’re running. Update Hub through Appearance > Themes after downloading the latest version from ThemeForest. Test on a staging site first. Changes made directly in the parent theme will be overwritten.

Hub requires three plugins to function fully: LD Core (bundled), WPBakery Page Builder (bundled), and Slider Revolution (bundled). These come included with your ThemeForest license. WooCommerce is optional but supported. Some demo sites also import Contact Form 7 or Mailchimp for WordPress, but those are not required by the theme itself.

Yes. Hub has solid WooCommerce support with custom shop, category, and single product page layouts. It includes an off-canvas cart, quick view, and checkout styling. You can control WooCommerce-specific settings under the Hub options panel. A Hub specialist can extend this further with custom product layouts or third-party WooCommerce plugins.

Download Hub from ThemeForest after purchase. Go to Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme and upload the hub.zip file. After activation, you’ll be prompted to install the required plugins. Install and activate all of them before importing any demo content. Use a child theme if you plan to make any code-level changes.

Hub produces clean HTML output and works well with Yoast SEO and Rank Math. It doesn’t add unnecessary heading tags or bloated markup. The main SEO concern is page speed, since the default setup loads heavy scripts. With proper optimization, Hub sites can rank well. Our WordPress SEO service covers technical SEO for Hub builds.

Out of the box, Hub is not fast. It loads Slider Revolution, WPBakery scripts, and icon font libraries on every page by default. Google PageSpeed scores can drop significantly without optimization. With asset cleanup, caching, and image optimization, Hub can perform well. The key is not importing demo content you don’t actually need.

LiquidThemes provides support through the ThemeForest comments section and a dedicated support portal. Response times vary. For faster turnaround on specific bugs or custom development requests, hiring a Hub specialist through Codeable is usually more efficient than waiting on forum-based support threads.

Migrating to Hub from another theme requires rebuilding your page layouts in WPBakery since page builder content is not portable between themes. Your posts, images, and WooCommerce products carry over fine. The layout work is the main effort. A Hub developer can plan and execute this migration cleanly. See our WordPress migration service for more.
