RT-Theme 15 was not built for WordPress 6.x and has not received official compatibility updates from stmcan. Core functionality generally works, but you may encounter block editor conflicts, deprecated function notices, and plugin compatibility issues. RT-Theme 15 does not include native WooCommerce support. Basic WooCommerce functionality will work, but product pages, cart, and checkout will not inherit the theme’s design without manual template overrides and custom CSS. A WordPress developer familiar with RT-Theme 15 can build these overrides in a child theme to produce a consistent store appearance.

Some pages built with RT-Theme 15 rely on Visual Composer shortcodes for layout. If you remove WPBakery, those pages will display raw shortcode text. You can rebuild layouts using the block editor or another page builder, but it requires recreating each page. For new pages, the theme’s native shortcodes work without Visual Composer in most cases.

Always use a child theme before updating. Any edits made directly to RT-Theme 15’s files will be overwritten on update. With a child theme in place, update the parent theme through the WordPress dashboard or via FTP. After updating, test key pages, the options panel, and shortcode rendering. Back up the database and files before any theme update.

RT-Theme 15 has basic WPML compatibility. Custom post types for portfolio and team members can be translated, and the theme’s string output is translatable through WPML’s String Translation module. Complex multilingual configurations may require developer input to handle menu translation and language switcher placement correctly within the theme’s header structure.

Active updates from stmcan for RT-Theme 15 are limited. The theme has been available for a long time and has not received major updates recently. This means you should test carefully before updating WordPress or PHP, as no official patches are likely for new incompatibilities. Running the theme on a maintained WordPress installation with careful plugin management is the safest approach.

Create a folder in wp-content/themes/ named rt-theme-15-child. Add a style.css file with the standard child theme header including Template: rt-theme-15. Add a functions.php file that enqueues the parent stylesheet using wp_enqueue_style with the parent theme as a dependency. Activate the child theme from the WordPress dashboard before making any customizations.

RT-Theme 15 migrates cleanly between hosts using standard WordPress migration methods. Export the database, transfer all files, update wp-config.php with new database credentials, and run a search-replace on the domain using WP-CLI or a plugin like Better Search Replace. RT-Theme 15 was designed around Visual Composer (now WPBakery). Elementor can be used alongside it for new pages, but mixing page builders on the same site creates maintenance complexity. The theme’s native shortcodes also work independently of any page builder. For new builds, sticking to one page builder and the theme’s own shortcodes keeps things manageable.

Demo import failures in RT-Theme 15 are usually caused by server memory limits, PHP max execution time, or a missing XML file in the demo package. Increase PHP memory to at least 256MB and max execution time to 300 seconds in php.ini or wp-config.php. If the import tool uses a remote XML file, check that your server can make outbound HTTP requests. Import in smaller batches if the full import keeps timing out.
